Dissing Pilot

The Dissing Pilot is a modern take on the original pilot watches from the 1930s. The design is characterized by being simple and elegant, which shows in the three chronographs and the numeral markers in the dial. The dial measures 42 mm. in diameter and is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystal.

Besides that, the Dissing Pilot has a JS20 Miyota quarts movement, and the watch case is made of 316 surgical stainless steel, which is considered the best quality of steel when producing watches.

How the watch works

The crown of the watch has one setting, namely where it is pulled out completely. Once the crown is pulled out (2), the clock can be set to the correct time and then the crown is pushed all the way back in (0). In this way, the clock is set in motion.

An important detail of this watch is that the long, thin indicator in the dial functions as a stopwatch and not a second hand, as in many other watches. This stopwatch is started by the top button on the side of the watch.

The two chronographs on the left of the watch function as stopwatches with seconds  and minutes counters respectively (D, E). These are controlled by the top button on the side of the watch (A), where they are started and stopped. The lower button is used to reset the chronographs (B). The chronograph on the right of the watch functions as a 24-hour clock (C). This is set together with the time on the watch and indicates where you are in the day.

A chronograph clockwork must be calibrated from time to time to reset the chronograph hands.
