Are you looking for a watch out of the ordinary? Then the Dissing Explorer - with its 3D effect in the dial - is the watch you're looking for. The Dissing Explorer is characterized by its high quality, which shows in the materials used in the production of the watch. For instance, the watch comes with 316L surgical stainless steel and scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Besides this, the Dissing Explorer is water resistant to 100 meters (10 ATM) and has a Seiko 64VK movement – also known as hybrid movement.
How the watch works
The crown of the watch has two settings.
The first setting, the first notch in which the crown can be pulled out (1), sets the date on the watch. To set the date, pull out the crown to the first notch, turn the crown to the correct date and then push in the crown to set the selected date.
The time is set in the second notch, where the crown is pulled out completely (2). When the crown is fully pulled out, the time is set and then the crown is pushed all the way back into the watch case to start the watch (0).
The two chronographs in the watch function as a minute counter and a 24-hour clock respectively (D, C). The chronograph on the left runs in conjunction with the stopwatch (D).This is controlled using the top button on the side of the watch (A), where they are started and stopped. The lower button is used to reset the chronographs (B). When the stopwatch has completed one full round, the minute hand in the chronograph advances one notch. This allows the stopwatch to run one hour at a time. The chronograph on the right of the dial functions as a 24-hour clock (C), which keeps track of the time on the watch and thus shows the exact time of the day.
A chronograph clockwork must be calibrated from time to time to reset the chronograph hands.
